The long ‘mixed’ bag of winter weather seems to drag on and the gloom with it but let me celebrate the new season by wishing you all a very…

Happy Easter and April Fools on the same day! Well at least it’s spring with May just around the corner although from the weather you wouldn’t think so! Never mind warmer climes lie ahead both on home soil and if you’re fortunate enough to get abroad! Never mind I have plenty new things ‘bubbling’ under – or should I say ‘sprouting up- starting with an update on The Magical Soap… due out by Whitsun! This nova for primarily 3-5 year olds is a picture book – think on the Gruffalo – with a rhyming prose about what happens to kids who refuse to wash… very topical!

As with ‘Cloverdaisy’ – though much shorter – it is however a lovely short family and grandparent read and brilliantly illustrated by my friend Jim Crawley, a very talented artist and wit! The drawings will leave children spell bound while the ‘story’ carries a practical message – with a mystical warning – to make sure children keep clean… dirty urchins be warned!

Late Summer/early Autumn I hope to have the 1st instalment published of The Conker Tree Kids. A crazy, whacky, dark humoured adventure for children between 10 and 13 years old, a junior mix of very funny adult satire known to many of you post watershed time! Any clues David? Yes just one for now…remember The Young One’s and Vic & Bob? No? Alright then… League of Gentlemen!

Until then be happy, keep smiling and enjoy your reading!

Children, put May 19th in your morning diaries for Nantwich library 10 am onwards. Read and talk by the author on ‘Cloverdaisy’ and preview for the Magical Soap!

‘Cloverdaisy’ has already nudged over 100 private sales and climbing… fast!
