Who can believe we’re already sailing through 2019 at an alarming rate and in the second half of the year already!
Making good sales inroads at all the main Artisan markets since March with many others lined up for the rest of the summer. Geographically I’m travelling some distances too between Didsbury at one end of Cheshire to Whitchurch in t ’other and the towns in-between!
Although I’ve not been able to add any new books to my arsenal just yet that will change in September with the launch of – at last- my long awaited crazy teen fiction The Conker Tree Kids! Publication date will be posted globally on Facebook & Twitteroo!
My romantic thriller-Richer not Poorer-is nearly 4 years ‘in’ and off to my adult fiction Editor in October provided I’ve finished it then! It’s some story and should be quite a blockbuster when it goes to print. However I’m going to try-one last time- the ‘conventional’ agent/main stream publisher route as it’s very special-very! For comparisons think on a 1980’s version of the extremely successful TV series Grantchester with James Norton & Robson Green although mine has more drama not least poisoning, fraud and Exorcism!
In between all that it’s important to tell budding writers that the daily-at times – tortuous grind of writing, writing, editing and more writing when you don’t want to, feel like it, weary, mentally exhausted or stuck for ideas is what sorts the ‘men from the boys’. The good from the great too…keep going. Never give up!
Fans of Cloverdaisy will be pleased to hear that I start Part II in the winter with a view to a spring 2020 release! The date doesn’t bear thinking about does it but that’s a writer’s diary* for you! Part I is still selling very well. A book I would very much like to get in the Schools. It’s such a good family, young person’s read.
For dates* of sellers markets where I’ll be, please see Facebook weekly.
