Sorry so late folks but as ever with the Seasons it’s hard to believe we’re already half way through July after my last update end of 2021!

Despite no return to the market stalls until spring the early months of 2022 weren’t wasted as most of them were frantically spent completing ‘Cloverdaisy 2’ and the ‘biggie’ Romantic thriller- ‘Richer not Poorer-Death was the Start’. However editor let down and others frightened of taking them on, I decided to self-edit both scrupulously, which took over 4 months to complete; very, very pleased at the outcome and saved about £4k in the process!

I actually do editing for others as a side line but mostly ad-hoc. However as a ‘legal draughtsman’ I find it comes naturally so feel quite at home with the processes but also had help from a senior ‘pro’-brilliant.

Both now submitted to a mass of publishers-mostly London based-in droves so fingers X on a not so much wing and a prayer but more in hope!

That said I’ve already had 2 potential ‘takers’ on ‘Cloverdaisy 2’ but Hybrid offers which mean the author has to pay-usually 1/3- a contribution towards the full publishing agreement although…it means I would have access to ‘market places’ which I could not reach as a self-publisher eg  full Amazon. W.H.Smith and Waterstones + global!  WATCH THIS SPACE!

However dozens of scripts are still ‘running’ and as the mechanics are traditionally and notoriously slow, I will do a final assessment in the autumn and decide accordingly. Now it’s a well-earned-mental-rest!
